Built literally upon the Latomie dei Cappuccini, this stunning Liberty style villa is actually in one of Sicily’s oldest historical archaeological sites. A network of caves carved into the rock of a naturally occurring amphitheatre in the cliffs of Siracusa’s coastline, the Latomie dei Cappuccini were used to imprison Athenian soldiers in around 413 BC.
